At the end of the day, I ended this book missing the original series which was a kissing book and not afraid to use profanity.
Interesting note, any long time readers might be interested that only a year separates the age of Mia from book one from Olivia.

The short version of how I feel about the book and my review told through emojis: Because Hurricane Michael is quickly approaching, my day ended at 1 pm and I had a while to kill, so I'm catching up on the latest episode of Riverdale [Season 3, Episode 1, Chapter Labor Day and reading Royal Crown, which was way shorter than I anticipated.
Also, I completed a lot of work during school today so all is The short version of how I feel about the book and my review told through emojis: Also, I completed a lot of work during school today so all is well.
It's been a while since I read anything written by Ms. Meg Cabot, and I had to reread the backstory of all the characters to remember where they are in their lives.
It's been two years since I started reading the Princess Diaries series, and it's amazing to see how the characters have grown so much and how they have affected each other.
I admire Olivia because she's strong, independent, and is a feminist. She stands up for what's right, but she's also still a normal tween having crushes and her first crush and her first period.
The story is cookie-cutter clean and sweet and nostalgic, reflecting on being young and uncertain about crushes and periods.
Hope your day is going well. And if it isn't, I hope that tomorrow or sometime in the near future, it gets better. Because I promise that it will.
Maybe not today or tomorrow, but soon. Aug 21, BookChic Club rated it really liked it. I really enjoyed this book and flew through it so quickly; it's such a treat getting a new Cabot book to read and especially this particular series as we get to catch up on Mia's life and family through it.
But this one felt a little different somehow. Maybe I'm just getting too old for the middle-grade novels but I haven't felt this way with other recent books from that age range.
While I liked it, I didn't really love it and it made me miss Cabot's work for older readers. It felt kinda bland, I really enjoyed this book and flew through it so quickly; it's such a treat getting a new Cabot book to read and especially this particular series as we get to catch up on Mia's life and family through it.
It felt kinda bland, which is hard for me to say as Meg Cabot is one of my all-time favorite authors, and the one who got me into reading YA.
Oct 11, Talycat45 rated it liked it Recommends it for: People who like princesses with a twist of modern day and girl drama. I think this is a really cool book.
It's the fourth one in the series, and it was pretty cool, except for the fact that I feel like it was a little too mature.
But I still like her twist to the end! Olivia the main character is still pretty cool, and a little bit like me but more fierce and artistic. She can also handle things very well instead of thinking things through a little slowl I think this is a really cool book.
She can also handle things very well instead of thinking things through a little slowly. Meg Cabot is a really cool author and I honestly like the first or second book!
I wonder what the next book would be about if she were to create one. But honestly, I am really fine with this being the last book because that just feels fit and snug.
Aug 09, Valerie rated it it was amazing Shelves: It was full of amazing messages for younger readers, and also had a cute romance in it like most -all?
Meg Cabot books do. I doubt I'll ever "out-grow" these types of books. Need more Princess Diaries books! Also, Olivia is a great character, and an amazing role model for younger readers.
Sep 16, Katie Merkel rated it liked it. Meg Cabot did a good job of capturing the confusion and immaturity that often surrounds puberty. The book was well-written and Olivia is a likeable character.
However, I found her cousin and her best friend to be annoying and immature. I think it was the prevalence of these two characters who detracted from my enjoyment of the book.
To be fair though, the drama surrounding the cousin and best friend was believable as it was primarily hormone led. Sep 24, Andrea rated it liked it Shelves: Wow I am too old for this book.
I mean this is a middle grade book, but out of all of the books in the series, this one was the most childish. The first three were adorable and fun stories but I kept rolling my eyes on this one.
The main plot could have been more interesting and the subplot made me feel sooo old. Well that's what I get for reading middle grade I guess.
Oct 03, Jeff Raymond rated it really liked it Shelves: Closer to a 3. The series is great, especially for this age group, and that's all that ultimately matters.
I always thought Luisa was a pampered, spoiled snob but while reading this book I realised she might be a potential criminal. I don't care what is happening with her family.
Others have it worse. It is truly admirable of Olivia to handle each situation so gracefully despite her inner turmoil.
She is a very good person and a great princess. Aug 29, Katie rated it really liked it Shelves: This series remains adorable, and I enjoy all the delightful references to the original story, but I have to admit that Olivia's friend Nishi is like a bad combination of Lilly Moscovitz and Tina Hakim Baba during the difficult stretch of Mia's high school years.
Olivia is great, but some of her friends remind me of why I don't like middle schoolers in real life. Oct 23, Susan rated it it was amazing.
Princess Olivia is growing up. Roberts would not budge on the cost, and a bitter conflict between the two erupted.
Hatcher told Roberts he would win the battle by never purchasing any more Coca-Cola, and Hatcher determined to develop his own soft drink formula.

Offered only in ounce bottles, sales were disappointing, due largely to the inability of the RC bottling network to get distribution for the product in single-drink channels, and it was discontinued with the exceptions of Australia, New Zealand and France.
The RC Cola brand has been marketed through many campaigns. The s saw a magazine advertising campaign with actress Lizabeth Scott as the face, next to the slogan "RC tastes best, says Lizabeth Scott".
Nutty Bird would promote Royal Crown Cola by touting the benefits. She sang, "It's a mad, mad, mad Cola RC the one with the mad, mad taste!
